****Please note, per our bylaws, you must be a paid PTA member to chair or co-chair a committee.  There will be opportunities to join committees as well! 

 

 

Silent Auction Committee Co-Chairs - OPEN (1-2 positions)

 In Partnership with the Silent Auction Committee Chairs, the Silent Auction Committee Co-Chair will:

  1. Assist with the development of a silent auction strategy and committee.
  2. Manage a platform for silent auction bidding (as appropriate).
  3. Create a marketing plan with the VPs of Membership (MTK) and Communications.   
  4. Support and manage all volunteers and committee members.
  5. Oversee the day of operations and activities.
  6. Ensure the highest bidder receives auction items and coordinates follow-through of items connected with the school and teachers.

Estimated time commitment of 3-5 hours per month.

 

 

Garden Club Committee Co-Chair - OPEN

In partnership with the VP of Programs & Garden Club Committee Chair, the Garden Club  Committee Co-Chair will:

  1. Coordinate & distribute a weekly sign-up genius for 2-3 volunteers to tend the garden. Volunteers can change from week to week.
  2. Assist with marketing the Garden Club, i.e., flyers, GBs, and the Principal's Principles to increase engagement among students and teachers.
  3. Coordinate volunteers to assist with the after-school garden club held once weekly in the fall and spring.
  4. Plan grade-level appropriate hands-on learning opportunities for garden-themed classroom enrichment.
  5. Coordinate the distribution of ideas with the teachers and work to assist them in implementing them in classrooms. i.e., coordinate any needed volunteers, solicit class parents for supplies, etc.

 Estimated time commitment of 2-4  hours per month

Are you a new Gayton parent or someone who is interested in getting more involved this year but not quite ready to chair something?

 

If you sign up to be “open to volunteering,” someone from the PTA will contact you about a spot on a committee.
